Permission System

SURE uses a permission system to add or delete entities. The purpose of this system is to limit the number of team members that can delete or alter critical information that could result in errors in the different processes.

The permission system has the following hierarchy:

Administrators

They have the highest permissions in the system. They are the only users allowed to perform all the operations. The most important tasks that can only be performed by Administrators are :

  • Administrators are the only users that can add other users to a project.

  • Administrators are the only users change the users’ profiles or delete them from a project.

  • Administrators can approved or reject all the Interim Payment Certificates and Variation Orders. Administrators can revoke other users’ determinations if needed.

  • Administrators can delete budgets and sites.

Final Approvers

This users have approval and delete permissions that can only be done by them or by Administrators. A Final Approver can perform the following actions:

  • Final Approvers can approve Interim Payment Certificates, add or approved Variation Orders.

  • Final Approvers can delete all the entities, regardless if they are the entity creator or not.

Creators

To allow flexibility but also to keep the information safe, most of the entities can be deleted only by the Administrators, Final Approvers and the user that has created the entity. For example, if a user has created a note, it can only be deleted by the creator.
